Lean rolls with nuts and apple


Beat with whisk two eggs with two tablespoons of sugar and salt.

Add water and stir until salt and sugar are completely dissolved.

Sift the flour onto a work surface.

We make a groove in the center of the flour, put 50 grams of softened butter in it, pour in the egg mixture and knead the dough.

Leave the dough to rest for 30-40 minutes.

Wash apples, peel and seed. Cut apples into thin slices. Separately, mix cinnamon, ground crackers and two tablespoons of sugar.

Roll out the dough very thinly and grease it with soft butter.

We spread apples on one half of the dough in an even layer and sprinkle them with a mixture of cinnamon, sugar and crackers.

Turn the dough roll.

Lubricate the baking sheet with vegetable oil and spread the roll (seam down).

Beat one egg with a whisk and grease the strudel with it. We make a few punctures with a knife on the test.

Preheat the oven to a temperature of 200-220 degrees and put the strudel with apples and cinnamon in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.

Sprinkle the strudel with icing sugar and you can serve the most delicate treat to a cup of tea or coffee.

I propose to cook lean rolls with apple and nuts. Neither in the test, nor in the filling there are neither eggs, nor milk, nor butter. Therefore, they can be safely prepared in the post.

Roulettes are slightly layered. We prepare the dough for rolls according to this recipe.

Cooking the filling. We chop the nuts.

Peel the apple, rub on a coarse grater.

In the bucket we connect the grated apple, chopped nuts, sugar, a pinch of salt.

We put on a small gas and, stirring constantly, boil for about 10 minutes. The mass will become thick. Remove the bucket from the heat, add cinnamon, mix. Let’s cool completely.

Roll out the dough with a thickness of 0.2-0.3 mm. Cut into rectangles with sides of 5x10 cm. On each rectangle lay out the filling and wrap it in a roll.

We lay the rolls on a baking sheet covered with parchment. We bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for about 30 minutes. Orient your oven. Rolls should not be lightly browned.

Finished lean rolls with nuts and apples are completely cooled on a wire rack. If desired, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
