  • flour - 130 gr
  • egg - 3 pcs (one protein to separate for glaze)
  • brown mistral sugar - 100 gr.
  • white sugar (for glaze) - 2 tbsp.
  • sour cream - 100 gr.
  • butter - 60 gr.
  • baking powder for dough - 1 tsp
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tsp
  • food colors - 5 colors
  • sweet straw and chocolate coins - for decoration

Step by step recipe

I spread the recipe for the cake with my changes, came from the products of my region, I ask you not to judge strictly, for small changes.

1. Divide one egg into yolk and protein, leave the protein for glaze, and so beat 2 eggs and 1 yolk with Mistral sugar until sugar is completely dissolved. Brown sugar gave the cake a caramel flavor, which I liked very much.

2. Next, add sour cream, vanilla sugar, flour with a baking powder for the dough and melted butter at the very end. Thoroughly knead.

3. We spread the dough in 5 different containers and add food coloring to each, knead until a uniform color in each container.

4. Alternately lay out the dough of different colors in a greased cupcake mold.

5. We bake 30 mint, in a preheated oven to 180 gr.

6. While the cake is baking, beat the protein from the egg with white sugar and green dye to strong peaks, adding a few drops of lemon juice at the end.

7. After the cupcake cools. Of sweet straw, we make a "trap" and a ladder (gluing with protein glaze). Cover the rainbow cupcake with a green protein cream and leave it to dry completely.

Put chocolate coins on the trap and. ) catch the Dwarf.

How to cook:

  1. Grind sugar with white eggs. Add softened butter, grind until smooth. Add sour cream, baking powder. Knead thoroughly. Add the flour a little (not all may leave) until the dough is obtained, like thick sour cream.
  2. Divide the resulting dough into 7 servings. Add your dye to each portion to the desired color intensity (dry dye is slightly diluted with water - so it will be evenly distributed, we drip the liquid dropwise):
    • The orange color is obtained by mixing with yellow and red dyes.
    • Violet - with red and blue.
    • For blue, add a smaller blue dye, for blue - more. If it doesn’t turn dark blue, you can add a little red.
  3. We spread the dough into layers in accordance with the colors of the rainbow. For those who do not remember: "Every Hunter Wants to Know Where the Pheasant Sits." You can spread the dough into plastic bags and squeeze through a cut corner - it will be more convenient and even.
  4. We bake our rainbow cake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees to a “dry match”.

  • While the finished cupcake cools, we prepare the icing (for a mold with a diameter of 21 cm, it is necessary to make a double norm of dough and glaze):
    • Mix sugar, cocoa and milk. We put it on a slow fire and, constantly stirring, wait until the sugar has dissolved (we do not bring it to a boil!).
    • Add the butter. Mix thoroughly. Continuing to mix, bring to a boil. Boil for about 1 minute and remove the chocolate coating.
  • Let cool slightly and water the cupcake. Sprinkle with decorative sprinkles.
  • We leave the finished cupcake for the night.
  • The next day we serve guests or fellow chemists. We cut it on the table to get a surprise! Everyone is thrilled! Very nice and tasty!

Rainbow Cupcake Gnome Trap or Leprechaun Trap Cake, Irish pastry for St. Patrick's Day.

On March 17, Irish people from around the world celebrate St. Patrick's Day. They put on high green hats, pin shamrocks to their jackets, drink guinness, watching the bubbles that go to the bottom, and not vice versa, and of course, remember the legends of the good old leprechauns.
It turned out that the Irish have a belief that the mythical shoe gnomes (they are leprechauns) either buried, or guard a whole cast iron with gold at the foot of the rainbow.
