The simplest device for removing core from apples can be made with a medical syringe. With it, you can peel fruits for both drying and preservation.

To do this, use a syringe with a capacity of 20 ml, with a piston, as well as a pointed knife and good scissors.

Cut apple core with a knife

We put the apple on a cutting board with the handle up.

We stick a short knife with a thin blade into the top of the apple, about a centimeter from the center, not into the core itself.

We pierce the apple through and through. We do it slowly so as not to cut ourselves. Check that the blade went through.

Now we take out the knife, again, slowly and carefully. We follow our fingers so that we don’t accidentally cut our fingers or palm.

Repeat the whole process three times, cutting around the center of the apple. At the end, we get four cuts, forming a square around the center of the apple.

Insert the knife into one of the cuts. We move the blade from the first cut to the second, and then to the other two, until the core is completely cut out.

We remove the knife and with our thumbs push the core down.
